Udhampur Oct 26: Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan memorial trust organised a debate competition on the theme “Online versus offline Mode of Learning”, here at Braham Rishi Vidhya Peeth Higher Secondary School udhampur today.
Chairman of the Trust Dev Raj gupta welcomed chief guest Chairman Braham Rishi Vidya Peeth Didi Chinmaya Jyoti, guest of honour , head of different educational institution, participants along with the judges.
Speaking on the occasion Chief guest paying rich tribute to martyr captain Tushar mahajan applauded the initiatives taken by the Tushar trust in organizing events on various issues of social importance . She also appreciated students for taking part in debate competition and appeal teachers to inculcate moral and patriotic values among students along with academic education so that we can build up a great nation .
Chairman of Trust Dev Raj gupta and Senior member of trust Ranjit parihar highlighted various activities of trust and appeal students to work for national integration so that india could be build strong nation He also appeal for following the path shown by martyrs and thanked students and other dignitaries for participating in today programme
.Others who were present on the occasion were mother of martuyr tushar Asha Gupta , Secretary of trust Shewat Ketu Singh senior member Ranjit parihar ,Satish chopra , Kalpana Jamwal , Vikas Manhas , .
A total of 28 students from 14 Higher secondary schools of Udhampur which include Kendriya Vidyalya No 1, BBSV Peeth , Happy Model , SCTM , SIKS ,AOC , Kc Gurukul , Govt Higher Secondary school , Kirmichi ,Jagnoo ,Salmerhi , Chak Rakhwalan , Barolla and SCTM Girls Higher secondary school Udhampur students participated in the event. Dr Kamal deep kour , Prof Sunil Magotra , Retd Lecturer Ashok kumar Sharma and Mrs Meena Sharma acted as judge in debate
In debate competition 14 students favoured the offline mode of learning while others were in favour of online mode, wherein Ruhani Gulati , Manju Sharma of Happy Model Higher Secondary School Bagged first and second position while Janvi Sharma and Suryam Magotra of BBSV Peeth school bagged third position jointly . Ist and second consolation prize were given to Naman Singh of AOC School and Bhumika of Government H.S.S Barolla. First interjector prize was given to Brinda Sharma of K.C Gurkul School of udhampur . Judges and Anchor of the programme were also honored by the chief trust.. The formal vote of thanks was given by secretary of trust Shewatketu singh
