PDP president Mehbooba Mufti has urged the Indian and Pakistani leadership to make a sincere attempt to rise above their respective political compulsions to save of their soldiers and civilians living on borders.
Reflecting on the increasing losses on both sides of the LoC , she said in a tweet it is “ sad to see mounting casualties on both sides of LoC.” Her tweet came against the backdrop of yesterday’s killings in border areas on both sides of the LoC in cross border shelling .
She wished “ If only Indian & Pakistani leadership rise above their political compulsions and initiate dialogue.”
“ Restoring thr ceasefire of ( November 26, 2003) agreed upon Vajpayee Ji and Musharraf Sahab is a good place to start.
