Srinagar, April 18: It was a clash of titans in south Kashmir town of Anantnag on Thursday when stalwarts of Kashmir politics filed their nomination papers for Anantnag- Rajouri Lok Sabha constituency.
Mian Altaf , NC candidate and veteran of several electoral battles was the first to file nomination papers . He was accompanied by by NC vice president and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, senior party leader Sakina Ittoo and AICC General Secretary Ghulam Ahmed Mir .
PDP president Mehbooba Mufti , accompanied by senior party leaders and her daughter Iltija filed nomination papers and pledged that she will not any compromise on dignity and identity of Kashmiris.
Apni Party’s Zafar Manhas filed nomination papers along with his party colleagues and supporters
