Srinagar, August 5 PDP president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has been placed under house arrest on Saturday – August 5- which marks 4th anniversary of abrogation of Article 370 .
The PDP had planned a protest rally to register its opposition to the scrapping of the constitutional provision that guaranteed special status and privileges to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir
In a tweet, Mehbooba Mufti said “ I’ve been put under house arrest along with other senior PDP leaders today. This comes after a midnight crackdown where scores of my party men are illegally detained in police stations. GOIs false claims about normalcy to the SC stands exposed by theirs actions driven by paranoia.”
