Srinagar, 20 April: People’s Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday felicitated people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr wishing them well being and prosperity.
In her Eid message, the former chief minister reminded people of the real essence of Eid and said the day demanded them to remember the poor and needy and share the happiness with them.
She said, “The spirit behind the observance of Eid-ul-Fitr is to express our thanks to Almighty Allah for giving us the courage to observe fast in the month of Ramadhan.”
“Eid also telegraphs the message of taking care of the needy and making them part of the happiness by extending economic support to them,” she said and expressed hope that the Eid would bring peace, prosperity and well-being to people of Jammu & Kashmir and rest of the country.
