Mehbooba’s detention under PSA extended
After a review about the PSA detention of PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti , the authorities decided against quashing it.
Sources said that the government felt that any such move could prove counterproductive at this stage. The officials feared that she could come out and lead protests against the abrogation of Article 370.
However, those who supported her release were told that recent terror incidents did not permit them to take any risk at the time.
