Member of Parliament and State President of BJP Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal inspected the ongoing construction of the new terminal building of Leh Airport Project costing Rs.480.00 crores is set to complete by Dec 2022. A detail presentation about the project was taken from the engineers of AAI, EIL and Shapoorji Pallonji. Airport Director, Sh. Sonam Nurboo along with other officials gave a progress report and discussed various issues pertaining to the Airport Expenssion Project. MP Ladakh requested the concerned authorities to ensure quality and authenticity of works as designed in the project.
MP JTN also inspected existing airport and taken stock of facilities and he has requested the concerned authorities to improve and upgrade the most required facilities like running water in public utilities and heating system.
Latter MP JTN interacted with the Officers and Personals of CISF deputed at Leh Airport and enquired about the facilities for them and security measures.
