A day after a teenager was abducted from Shopian district, his body was recovered from a village in Pulwama on Friday, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Nadeem Manzoor. He was reportedly kidnapped by militants on Thursday.
Manzoor was a resident of Safanagri area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
“Manzoor’s bullet-riddled body was retrieved by police from Niklora Pulwama,” said a PTI report quoting an official.
The police have registered a case and investigation has been initiated.
The identity of the militants, who were involved in abducting and killing Mazoor, is yet to be established.
