Kupwara, January 3: It was a miracle for the villagers of Kundiyan and Patroo villages along LoC In Kupwara village on Wednesday when electricity lit up bulbs for the first time since independence.
The 75- year long wait ended when electricity lit homes and shops in these villages, ending dark era of decades.
The villagers said that it was nothing short of a miracle for them . It’s a dream come true for them, they hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and LG Manoj Sinha for making this happen.
They expressed gratitude to LG Sh Manoj Sinha administration as two 250 KV Sub Stations under the Samirdh Seema Yojan brought grid connectivity to the once-isolated communities.
The electrification project, completed in a record two months by KPDCL Electric Division Kupwara, left the villagers ecstatic. Cheers and jubilation filled the air as lights illuminated their houses, marking the end of decades-long wait.
