A new body of the Federation  of Chambers of Industries as been elected  with  Engineer Mukhtar Yousuf  as its new president . The chief election commissioner Syed Shakeel Qalander announced and declared Yousuf elected at FCIK house where hundreds of general, executive council members and other entrepreneurs were present.

Javaid Ahmad Bhat has been elected as senior vice president while Masood Ali Wani would be vice president of the organisation, Abid Ali Bazaz, Dr Zain ul Abideen and Manzoor Ahmad Khan have been elected as Secretary General, Joint Secretary General and Secretary respectively. Irfan Ahmad Narwaroo would be new Secretary Finance while Abdul Qayoom Bhat has been elected as Secretary Publicity. The election commission members were present on the occasion.

“Mukhtar Yousuf  is a young and dynamic entrepreneur having a degree of mechanical engineering. As an entrepreneur he is considered to be a pioneer in manufacture of highly technical products like penstocks, log gates and other prestigious mechanical products. He has previously served in the FCIK in various capacities. His enthusiasm to transform the valley into an industrial hub in order to substitute imports has won him the mandate of members from across the valley. He is expected to deliver in the organisation as most of his team members are young technocrats and highly qualified persons,” said the statement.
