Leading hotelier and J&K’s business face Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya has been re-elected as Chairman of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry . Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya has been instrumental in promotion of tourism in Jammu and Kashmir and also an icon of the local investment in the state by opening hotels all across the state.
Zahoor Ahmad Tramboo has been elected as co-chairman of the Kashmir chapter of the Chamber .
Chaya, who was earlier also chairman of the chamber’s Kashmir chapter was reelected yesterday by the Managing Committee for second term acknowledging his work for the organization, a statement issued by the chamber said.
Chaya and Tramboo after the reelection said that it has been an honor for them to serve PHD chamber, which has more than 1791members and with 204 association members representing 48000 industrial, service and trade enterprises and 95-MOU Global Partners from different parts of the world.
“We are delighted that the Chamber has acknowledged our work and have given us an opportunity to further work for the prestigious organization,” the statement quoted them saying.
“The state Chapter of PHD Chamber pledges its full support to the government in successfully implementing its economic policies and carrying out its function of ‘Minimum Government and Maximum Governance’ with the aim of taking governance to the doorstep of poorest of the poor,” it said.
