Mushtaq Chaya, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Hoteliers and Club , today hailed J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for hosting “ Khelo India” in Gulmarg , Kashmir, , saying that it would be a big step to boost tourism in the Valley that had been looking for revival for long.
Chaya who has been associated with the tourism industry and hotel business for decades , sad in a statement here that “ L G Manoj Sinha has refocused world’s attention toward Kashmir’s tourism potential and its hospitality , and this can enable those associated with hotel and restaurant business to re-establish their business that had fallen on hard times in the past.”
“ We are eagerly looking forward to the start of the Khelo India event in Gulmarg and can assure the visitors that they would find themselves in full comfort in Kashmir,” he said.
The government is hosting first-ever Khelo India event in the world-famous tourist and ski resort Gulmarg from February 26 to March 2 to attract the tourists and sportspersons from all over the country, which promises to be a big treat and thrill in the snowcapped mountains.
“ I want to assure each and every one visiting Kashmir and Gulmarg in particular, that our Club will take full care of visiting athletes , sportspersons,” Chaya said.
He complimented the LG and the Tourism Department for taking such a big step for the people of Kashmir, where tourism industry forms not only backbone of the economy but als9 is a strong pillar in refurbishing as an ultimate destination to visit and enjoy,”
He said all the hoteliers in Gulmarg are prepared to host and look after the visiting sports people as also the tourists. “
“ Our message to one and all is, to ‘come , play and enjoy Kashmir and keep coming in all seasons,” Chaya said . He again thanked Manoj Sinha for providing such an opportunity to the people associated with tourism in Kashmir.
