Doda, May 15: A concert, ‘The Musical Night’, was held in the last eveninig at Sports Stadium Doda, where The Band of Doda and other artists gave enthralling performance and mesmerised the audience. The programme was organised by the district administration under Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaotsav.
The programme was hosted by the Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with the Cultural Department and DIPR Doda.
The youth enjoyed the artistic performance of The Band of Doda and other local artists. Bollywood, Bhaderwahi, Dogri, Sarazi and Punjabi songs, and Dance performance kept audience spell bound. DC Doda Vishesh Mahajan, SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, ADC Doda Dr R K Bharti, ACR, ACD, and other District officers also participated and adored the programme.
At the event, the Deputy Commissioner said that youth is the most important part of human life because it is where people learn and acquire knowledge.
He urged all to stay away from drugs but contribute in making the district drugs free, prosperous, peaceful, and developed one. He informed that such events shall continue in the future and in other parts of the district also. The enthusiatic participation of the public especially youth, male and female and kids clearly indicate that administration has been succesfull in motivating the young generation to stay away from drugs and take the path of development for their own progress and for the progress of the nation.
