Srinagar, Sep 01: NC gets a major booNational Conference gets a major booster, key Player from North Kashmir Malik Tariq Rashid alongside other top campaigners of AIP join the party. In a significant political development, National Conference grabbed a big catch. Malik Tariq Rashid a distinguished political leader from North Kashmir who among the political pundits is believed to have a great influence across the North, today formally joined National Conference in presence of Omar Abdullah. Known for his fiery speeches and grassroot connections, Malik has played a pivotal role in 2019 and recently held Lok Sabha elections as he was one of the closest political advisors to Er. Rashid. This move will have a great impact on overall campaigning process. In an impressive function held at the Gupkar Residence, Omar Abdullah welcomed Malik Tariq Rashid into the party fold. Er. Tanveer Chalkoo the Ex. District President of AIP who is also the General Secretary of Civil Society Uri also joined the party. The joining of the youth leader will strengthen the party in Uri Assembly segment. In addition to this, AIP District Co-ordinator Ganderbal and Convener of Civil Society Safapora Er. Sohail Nabi Khan was also warmly welcomed into the party fray by Omar Abdullah himself. Sohail is an acclaimed sociopolotical worker. In a statement Omar Abdullah said, “Joining of Tariq Rashid & other young intellectual leaders will have a long lasting impact on the regional politics and that National Conference stands committed to safeguard the interests of Jammu and Kashmir. I am very much sure that people from all the sections of the society will extend their support to National Conference to unitedly fight the BJP and its proxies”st in north Kashmir.
