Jammu, 01, July 2026: To enhance the accessibility of Aadhaar-related services and ensure efficient service delivery, a new Aadhaar Seva Kendra has started functioning at Kalibari Chowk, near Punjab National Bank, Kathua.
The centre has been established as part of ongoing efforts to provide residents with convenient, transparent, and hassle-free Aadhaar services closer to their homes. Set up in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the facility is equipped with modern infrastructure and air-conditioned premises to cater to a large number of visitors every day.
The Aadhaar Seva Kendra will remain operational on all seven days of the week, including Sundays, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, ensuring greater convenience for the public.
Officials informed that service charges for Aadhaar enrolment, updates, and other related services will be levied strictly as per the rates prescribed by the Government of India and UIDAI. Aadhaar printing services are also available at the centre.
The opening of the new Aadhaar Seva Kendra is expected to significantly improve access to Aadhaar services for residents of Kathua and adjoining areas.
