Jammu, December 30:

Team Jammu has taken strong exception to the purported advertisement inviting applications from non-locals also for various categories of posts in State High Court.

An emergency meeting of Team Jammu was held here today under the chairmanship of Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman Team Jammu, for discussion over the development with regard to the advertisement and its consequences, which will severely affect the residents of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh Union Territories.

Team Jammu chief, Zorawar Singh Jamwal said that the advertisement was a shocker for everyone in J&K notwithstanding their overwhelming support to abrogation of Article 370 and 35A.

“People of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly of Jammu Province – who are well known for their patriotism, overwhelmingly supported the Modi Government’s move on abrogation of Article 370 and 35A for complete integration with Indian Union but opening floodgates for everyone and playing with future of our youth is not acceptable, ” said Zorawar Singh Jamwal and elaborated that people of J&K were expecting enactment of provision of domicile on the pattern of neighbouring Himachal Pradesh for job security to local youths and land  protection to ensure flood gates are not opened for land mafia but the advertisement inviting applications from all over India for non-gazetted posts in J&K High Court has come as a bomb shell triggering strong resentment among the locals.

While pointing out that nationalist people of Jammu were hoping that their interests would be protected by the government as J&K is under significant process of being re-organized and Jammu Province would not be subjected to any sort of discrimination in any sphere, Jammu Chairman, Zorawar Singh Jamwal appealed the Government to immediately take corrective measures for protection of rights of locals and avoiding mass reaction by peace loving people of Jammu.

Among others who attended the meeting included Rajesh Kapoor, Er Chandan Datta, Sunil Raipuria, Surinder Sharma, Sanjay Verma, Sardar Trilok Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Ashok Kumar, Rakesh Mishra, Rajesh Chandan, Sunil Gupta and Akshay Gupta.
