Jammu, April 4, 2025: To ensure better travel experience during the festive season and summer holidays, Northern Railway has added one extra 3AC coach to two important trains starting from Jammu. This step has been taken in view of the rising number of passengers during this period.
Train number 13152, Kolkata Express, which runs from Jammu to Sealdah, will have an additional 3AC coach on April 5 and April 6, 2025. This will help accommodate 72 more passengers in each trip, reducing crowding and improving comfort.
Similarly, train number 12426, Jammu Rajdhani Express, which runs between Jammu Tawi and New Delhi, has also been provided with an extra 3AC coach from April 2 to April 11, 2025. This move is expected to enhance both passenger convenience and railway revenue.
Railway officials said the decision was taken keeping in mind the heavy rush during Navratri and the summer vacation period. The additional coaches will help manage crowds at stations and improve overall passenger satisfaction.
