Appointment/Offer letters handed over to the newly inducted recruits in Northern Railway at New Delhi, Ambala, and Jammu

Railway Selection process is simplified and Tech-enabled to expedite the recruitment process Programme showcases the continuous commitment of the Government towards providing job opportunities for the youth and ensuring citizen welfare

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the RozgarMela – the recruitment drive for 10 lakh personnel via video conferencing. During the ceremony, appointment letters were handed over to more than 70,000 newly inducted appointees.

This is a significant step forward toward fulfilling the continuous commitment of the Prime Minister to providing job opportunities for the youth and ensuring the welfare of citizens. As per the directions of the Prime Minister, all Ministries and Departments are working towards filling up existing vacancies against sanctioned posts in Mission Mode.

The new recruits, selected from across the country, will join 10 Ministries/Departments of the Government of India. The new appointees will create an impact in their own unique ways for the growth and development of our nation towards achieving the vision of ‘New India’

These recruitments are being done in Mission Mode by Ministries and Departments either by themselves or through Recruiting agencies such as UPSC, SSC, and Railway Recruitment Board. For expeditious recruitment, selection processes have been simplified and made tech-enabled.
Northern Railway like other zonal railways, participated in the PM’s RozgarMela today. In this regard, functions were held at three places on NR and distributed appointment letters to the candidates;

  1. Ambala (S. D. College Ambala,- Total 209 Candidate)
  2. Jammu (Convention Hall, Talab Tilo Jammu, Total 336 Candidates)
  3. New Delhi (National Media Centre Raisina Road-Total 180 Candidates)

Shri Rao Inderjit Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Statistics and Programme Implementation & Planning and Minister of State for Corporate Affairs was the Chief Guest at Ambala, while Shri Krishan Pal, Hon’ble Minister of State for Power & Heavy Industries, Hon’ble MP (Lok Sabha Shri Jugal Kishor Sharma, Hon’ble MP (Rajya Sabha),Shri Ghulam Ali and Hon’ble-Mayor,Shri Rajinder Sharma graced the occasion at Jammu.
