In continued EK YUDH NASHE KE VIRUDH, a drive against Drug Abuse launched by District Police Reasi & tightening noose against criminals, Team of Police Station Reasi was on patrolling duty at Anji Kayala Reasi, two persons upon seeing police party tried to run away. On suspicion chased the suspicious persons & one was intercepted and nabbed whereas the other person tried to obstruct the officials from performing their duty by attacking the police party. one policeman was injured while intercepting him & escaped from the spot. Detained person has been identified as Arshad Hussain S/O Nazir R/O Kayala. After the search of the detained person, 6 challis of Charas like substance recovered from him.
Escaped person has been identified as Sardam S/o Bashir R/o Kayala who attacked the police party. Police party is on hunt to arrest the accused at large.
While following the laid down procedure under NDPS Act all the banned drug has been seized and sealed after taking due samples for expert opinion from Forensic Science Laboratory Jammu.
In this regards FIR No. 123/2021 has been lodged in Police Station Reasi and investigation set in.
EK YUDH NASHE KE VIRUDH is a special drive started by District Police Reasi under the Command of SSP Reasi Sh Shailender Singh, this accused is 85th criminal arrested in 67th case FIR registered in drug abuse since last two months under this drive.
Citizens of Reasi have started providing relevant information to police & appreciating the efforts of Police in Curbing the menace of Drug Abuse in the area.
