Srinagar : November, 22nd 2023:As per sources, on 21-11-2023, one Muzaffar Ahmad Shah, an employee of Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) was caught red handed by sleuths of anti corruption branch of CBI Srinagar in a well laid trap while-demanding and accepting bribe of rupees five thousand from the complainant at main town Shopian and tainted amount was recovered from the accused official the spot in the presence of the Independent witnesses.
Sources further confirmed that a formal case FIR No.03 (AM2023 under section 7 of the Prevention of corruption act, 1988 ( as amended in 2018) has been registered in Police Station, CBI ACB Srinagar.
Accused was arrested on spot and taken into custody. Meanwhile the people of the area have hailed the efforts of the CBI ACB Srinagar.
