Urges Union Home Secretary to take action against delinquent bureaucrats

JAMMU: Taranjit Singh Tony, Chairman Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu and Kashmir for Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs, and DDC Member Suchetgarh has appealed to Ajay Bhalla, Union Home Secretary for taking action against the erring bureaucrats working contrary to the interests of the people of Jammu region.
In a statement issued to media persons, the AAP leader alleged that liquor, mineral, land and contractor mafia is ruling the roost in the Union Territory of J&K under the realms of corrupt bureaucracy which is allowing open loot of public exchequer in connivance with the aforesaid entities. He urged the Union Home Secretary, who was in J&K to review security ahead of Shri Amarnathji Yatra commencing on July 1, 2023.
Tony asked Bhalla to end the aforesaid mafias having hand in glove with bureaucracy to rob the people of the region of their business and basic rights. He appealed to the Union Home Secretary to break the nexus between the bureaucrats and the liquor, mineral and land mafia to establish rule of law and end the open loot of the resources of Jammu region.
The senior AAP leader sought befitting action against the corrupt bureaucrats for allowing open loot of public exchequer in connivance with aforesaid entities. He also appealed to Bhalla to lift the Sarore Toll Post because the same has been established in contradiction to the set rules since its distance from the Bann Toll Plaza is less than the authorized limits. He said that the establishment of Sarore Toll Post is sheer injustice with the people of J&K and also visitors who commute on NH44 for different purposes.
Tony asked Ajay Bhalla to immediately set right aforesaid issues which are complicating the life of people of J&K to recuperate the confidence of the people.
