The sero survey has showed that over 23% Delhi residents are affected by coronavirus. The survey added that most patients in Delhi were asymptomatic.

Over 23 per cent people in Delhi have been affected by Covid-19 in Delhi so far, the results of a government study have showed.
As per the sero-prevalence study, the results of which were made public on Tuesday, 23.48 per cent Delhi residents have Covid-19 antibodies.
“Results of sero-prevalence study show that nearly six months into the epidemic, only 23.48% of people are affected in Delhi, which has several pockets of dense population. This can be attributed to efforts taken by government as well as citizen compliance to Covid appropriate behaviour,” the government on the study states.
The results of the sero-prevalence study in Delhi also indicate that a large number of infected persons remain asymptomatic.
“A significant proportion of the population is still vulnerable. Therefore, the containment measures need to continue with the same rigour. Non-pharmacological interventions such as physical distancing, use of face mask/cover, hand hygiene, cough etiquette and avoidance of crowded places etc., must be followed strictly,” the findings note.
The sero-prevalence study was conducted by the National Center for Disease Control of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in Delhi. The study was conducted from June 27 to July 10.
Over 21,000 samples were collected for tests.
