Jammu, December 16 ( JKNT) Pakistan army opened unprovoked fire from across the Line of Control ( LoC) in Balakote sector in Poonch district this morning, according to reports from the local area.
The firing started at 7 a.m. breaking a lull on the LoC since November-end .
Pakistani firing startled the local residents who were getting used to the calm on the LoC since November 29 when Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa took over as the army chief of Pakistan.
Indian side also responded. However, the guns fell silent after about half –an-hour.
