Prime Minister Imran Khan unambiguously confirmed his reputation as “ Taliban Khan” as he hailed Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden , the leader of the deadliest global terror network in the world as a martyr,” something unheard of from any government leader in any part of the world.
Speaking at Pakistan National Assembly on Thursday , Imran Khan decried Americans for killing Osama bin Laden on Pakistani soil without informing Pakistan . “This is shame for the whole of Pakistani nation as the American killed Osama bin Laden , the martyr.”
His hailing of Osama bin Laden as a” martyr , the term used for those dying in the defence of the nation
Terrorists are condemned as terrorists and killers .
Imran Khan’s statement in Pakistani Parliament was not an out of cuff remark. It was a well thought out expression used for the top most leader of terrorists across the world.
Osama was responsible for executing 9/11terror attack recorded as the worst ever act of terror in the history. Al-Qaeda terrorists had hijacked the planes and rammed into World Trade Centre and Pentagon in New York and Washington D C on September 11, 2001 , now abbreviated numerically as 9/11- a signature of the horrendous carnage of the day when more than 2,000 people of all nationalities died in the terror attack. These attacks were planned and executed by the men indoctrinated by Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden and his team of deputies whose expertise was in spreading global terror network
OBL was killed in a raid by American forces in Bilal Town of Abbott bad in Pakistan. The Pakistan army came to know of the killing of OBL hours after his execution .
Imran Khan’s glorifying as “shaheed”or “martyr” is highly irresponsible act , and in particular , coming from a head of the government that claims to be fighting a war on terror, and having lost 70,000 men, women and children in this . He has equated his army’s soldiers and the people of his nation with the global terrorist. That means that he doesn’t differentiate between innocents and terrorists .
