Indian Army on Friday strongly retaliated after Pakistan violated ceasefire in Shahpur sector of Poonch district and Naushera in Rajouri district along the Line of Control (LoC).

While Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing shelling in on Indian forward posts along the LoC, they faced strong retaliation as the Indian Army reacted immediately in defence.

While not confirmed yet, a few Pakistani soldiers have also lost their lives after the Indian Army retaliated.

On Thursday, the Indian Army inflicted heavy damage to forward posts in Pakistan after the latter’s army violated ceasefire in Rampur and Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, killing one Indian Army Subedar (JCO).

Two Pakistani soldiers were also killed in Dewa sector of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) after the retaliation, confirmed Pakistan Army’s media wing.

In a tweet, the spokesperson of Pakistan Armed Forces said two soldiers — Naib Subedar Kandero and Sepoy Ehsan of Pak Army embraced Shahadat — were killed in Dewa sector.

The Indian Army’s response came after a Junior Commissioned Officer was killed after Pakistan violated ceasefire in Rampur sector of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources told news agency PTI.

Details shared by the officials also indicated that Pakistan engaged in unprovoked firing in Hajipeer area of Uri around 11:30 am on Wednesday.

Sources confirmed to the news agency that some of the shells fired by Pakistan landed in civilian areas, resulting in injuries to two civilians.
