Jammu, February 23:

Due to Pakistani firing and shelling in Uri villages lying close to Line of Control  , more than 500 villagers have migrated to safe places to escape the shelling .

Director General Of Police   S P Vaid in his tweet  said : Due to firing/ shelling  from across in border areas of Uri about 500 people migrate to safer areas.”

He also disclosed that  Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police were on the spot “ looking after people.”

Pakistan had been targeting several areas  in Uri for the past two days  in which three houses were gutted and  lots of property damaged . Pakistan has started unprovoked firing as  part of its  designs o hit and target the civilian population on the Indian side of the LoC.
