The performance of Government schools in Jammu and Kashmir has risen from 46.19% to 63.38%, marking an increase of 17.18% which has been remarked as “big success”.

Commenting on this “first time” achievement of government schools, the Secretary School Education, Jammu and Kashmir government, BK Singh said, “This is success of our online and community classes”.

The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) yesterday declared the Class 10th Annual Regular Examination results of Session, 2020 of Winter Zone areas of Jammu Province in which a total of 66.56% students were declared successful.

A total number of 24842 candidates were enrolled for the examination, spread over 327 Examination Centres, out of which 16536 students qualified the exam. Out of 24842 students, 13457 were boys and 11385 girls. The pass percentage of the boys  remained as 64.52% while 68.98 % of girl students  qualified the exam this year.

396 students  this year secured A1 Grade, 2025 A2 Grade, 3359 B1 Grade, 4278 B2 Grade, 4191 C1 Grade, 2227 C2 Grade and 101 students secured  D Grade.

Although performance of both Private and Govt schools has remained better as compared to last year, yet the performance of Government Schools has shown a steep rise from 46.19 % (last year) to 63.38% this year.
