Srinagar, October 11:
A high profile Ph.D. scholar of Aligarh Muslim University Manan Wani whose joining of militancy had raised a storm in Kashmir early this year was killed in an encounter in north Kashmir’s Handwara belt on Thursday dealing a big jolt to the ideology-oriented militancy among the youth.
Manan Wani was killed in the encounter along with another militant in the gun fight, police sources said.
