BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 26:
The Communication and Capacity Development Unit (CCDU) of Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department Bandipora on Wednesday organised a day-long awareness programme on water conservation under “Save Water Save Life” program.
The awareness programme was attended by the students of different institutes of the district, ASHA and social workers from various regions of the district, besides employees of the department.
District Superintendent Engineering (SE) Ghulam Hassan Gojri was the chief guest on the occasion, while as Executive Engineer, Hydraulic Division Bandipora GA Bhat was guest of honour.
On the occasion, students delivered speeches to highlight the importance of water conservation. They requested the masses to use water judiciously so that an adequate amount of water is left for future generations.
Speaking on the occasion, SE Gojri said that the department is committed to providing the best quality of water to the people. He said various Water Supply Schemes are under construction and will be completed well in time.
Executive Engineer GA Bhat on the occasion, requested the people of the district to use water judiciously so that water can be conserved for the next generation.
Later a prize distribution ceremony was held in which the speakers were felicitated with awards.
