Jammu, June 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation today with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin., during which the two leaders discussed bilateral relations , and also reflected on the recent developments within Russia and Ukraine conflict .

This telephonic conversation took place in less than a week after conclusion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Sate visit to the United States , where red carpet was rolled out for him and Biden administration has described friendship with India as “most consequential” in the world. India and the US have forged ahead and signed a series of agreements to mutually beneficial to each other .

According to an official release , issued after the conversation , the two leaders “eviewed progress in bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. .”

President Putin informed PM about the recent developments in Russia.

While discussing the situation in Ukraine, PM reiterated his call for dialogue and diplomacy.

Both leaders agreed to remain in touch and continue to make efforts to further strengthen Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between the two countries
