Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s  address to  the Indian ideas summit  on Wednesday evening organized by the US India Business  Council  laid out a new vision  of resilience for the world , and this is  something that the countries across all the continents  must see as a way forward in the challenging times.

Why PM’s vison  is  to be recognized , appreciated and implemented ? There are two very solid reasons : One , Modi holds a top-ranking position in the world for he is the head of the government of the largest democracy of the  world . Second , what he has spoken of is not confined to any particular space and time. It is an all-time relevant idea which can help the humanity to over come the crises and challenges that  have surfaced in the recent months.

The pandemic of the novel corona virus  that has shattered the whole world without any exception  and  toppled the economies like never seen before besides  exacerbating the existing conflicts . This is a damn serious situation , which can be tackled only when there is a strong will power to preserve and push the capacity of resilience among the peoples across the world.

His words that , the “ global economic resilience  can be achieved by stronger domestic economic capacities ,” should  have resonated with the world economists and business people , as the Prime Minister underlined the meaning of the economic resilience with an all-inclusive approach . This was clear when he said: This means  improved domestic capacity for manufacturing , restoring the health of the financial system and diversification of international trade”.

His  call to the investors  from the US, was having a relevance for the whole tribe of investors the world over , as  he said ,”India is contributing towards a prosperous and resilient world through the clarion call of an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. And, for that, we await your partnership!

“ Today, there is global optimism towards India. This is because India offers a perfect combination of openness, opportunities and options. Let me elaborate. India celebrates openness in people and in governance. Open minds make open markets. Open markets lead to greater prosperity. These are principles on which both India and the USA agree.” That endorses his  statement that  India is a land of opportunities.
