Jammu, March 18: A Jammu and Kashmir police head constable today died hours after he was arrested by Central Bureau of Investigation over corruption charges.

He was identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, who was working as Munshi in women police station Kathua.

Sources told JK News Today that CBI has arrested Ahmed earlier in the day as the agency had claimed that he was arrested red handed while accepting the bribe of Rs 3000.

“He has probably suffered a heart attack during the custody and he immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead,” said a source.

Immediately after the news of his death broke out, senior police officers reached the hospital.
