Srinagar, June 22:
Militants shot dead a CID Inspector Parvaiz Ahmad Dar at Nowgam on the outskirts of Srinagar on Tuesday evening , days after a policeman was killed in Eidgah area less than a week ago.
Dar was returning home after evening prayers at a mosque in the neighbourhood.
The police have cordoned off the area and started searching .
The killing came on the day when a security review meeting at BB Cantonment reflected on the security situation and analysed that militants were now targeting soft targets.
