Jammu, March 12: For nonpayment of dues, power supply to former leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad and UT BJP chief Ravinder Raina has been snapped.

Apart from these two, power supply to another BJP leader and former MLA Ramban Neelam Langeh has been also disconnected.

Sources said that acting on the laid procedures, power development department authorities disconnected power connection as these consumers have failed to pay electricity dues.

“They have pending dues above Rs 2 lakh and as per guidelines anybody whose dues are above Rs 2 lakh will not get power,” a source said.

Homes of all these political leaders are situated in the posh colony of Gandhi Nagar in Jammu.

After resignation from Congress party, Azad formed his own party Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) and Raina is pradesh chief of ruling BJP.
