Prof Arvind Jasrotia, Director, College Development Council in addition to his own duties has been given additional charge of Registrar, University of Jammu till further orders relieving Prof Neetu Andotra, Dept of Commerce of the additional charge on her request. Recently he has been appointed as Member of State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, J&K by the Ministry of Urban Development, GOI. Dr. Jasrotia has varied publications in peer reviewed journals to his credit on varied topics such as Environmental Law, Human Rights, Constitutional Law, etc.

Dr. Jasrotia is also a member of World Commission on Environmental Law, the NAAC Peer Team as well as a Member Academic of Judicial Services Examination. He has guided number of Ph.D and LL.M scholars. He has travelled extensively in India and abroad and has attended Study Session on Human Rights organized by International Institute of Human Rights at Strasbourg (France) and got scholarship to attend International University Human Rights Teaching and Research Programme (CIEDHU) organized by IIHR at Strasbourg (France).

Prof. Jasrotia completed as Project Director, a Major ICSSR Research Programme titled: “Impact of Kashmir Conflicts on Refugees, Forced Migrants and Displaced Population. He was also Co-Principal Investigator in DST sponsored (Inter- University Consortium) Research Project titled “The Himalayan Cryosphere: Science and Society]. In collaboration with NLSIU, Bengaluru, he is also working on another UGC-STRIDE -3 Project titled ‘Urbanization in Jammu & Kashmir in the Face of Climate Change’. He is also a Master Trainer in UNDP-GEF (Global ABS Project): Strengthening Human Resources, Legal Frameworks and Institutional Capacities to Implement the Nagoya Protocol (NLSIU &UNDP-GEF Project). His area of specialization includes Constitutional Law, Environmental Law and Human Rights Law and his research interests include Climate Justice, Environmental Ethics and Sustainable Development.
