Prominent business man of Jammu and Kashmir and President of ASCOMS hospital Mr. Dharam Vir Batra breathed his last in Batra hospital, New Delhi on Friday morning , according to family sources.
He was undergoing treatment for quite some time. Batra, 93 years, is survived by three sons and two daughters
Mr. Dharam Vir Batra was a philanthropist and was running several charity institutions in J&K and outside. He had taken the initiative to set up first private hospital and medical college in Jammu where poor were treated free of cost .
The hospital is playing a big role in combating Covid-19.
His death has sent shockwaves across the business, political and social circles across Jammu and Kashmir .
