Mendhar, September 19,:

Apni Party State Vice President Youth Wing and Media Coordinator, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan today strongly condemned the non-serious approach of J&K BOPEE for playing with the future of nursing and paramedical aspirants in 150 colleges of Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued to the press, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan said that the Govt should take a serious note of the situation which has emerged out of this non-serious approach as it has wasted time and money of the students who pursue these courses to get employment.

He said that this situation compels them to go out of J&K and get admission in different colleges outside the Union Territory which is really unfortunate.

“For how long, the J&K Govt will wake up from the deep slumber. Hundreds of paramedics and nurses complete their courses every year and they are assets of J&K but the BOPEE’s counseling process for the above said courses starts in November – December and it is unjustified. It must be rectified as per the suitability of the aspirant,” he added.

He said that the various colleges have suffered huge losses as students prefer doing these courses from outside J&K.

He therefore appealed to the Govt to look into the issue and accordingly make necessary measures so that the counseling process should be conducted on time.
