The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Talwara is conducting a two week workshop for small scale business in `Poultry Farming’ with the aim of improving human resource through skill development in the remote region.
A total of 112 youth from the region are attending the workshop which will emphasise on the system of ‘Poultry Farming’ in India and related business opportunities. The Army has planned for speakers from district `Animal Husbandry Department’ to address the participants on various aspects of poultry business like bird rearing, handling minor ailments and risk factors involved.
The endeavour by the Army is part of a series of vocational skills and entrepreneurship development cadres being conducted for the youth and development of small scales industries. The local populace thanked the Army and said that the effort will assist the youth in building confidence and ability to set up their own ventures.
