Jammu, January 28 : National fame footballer Arun Malhotra, who hails from Jammu, during his visit to the home city , interacted with an enthusiastic crowd of youngsters and aspirational footballers , and told them that what it takes to be a successful player of the game.
“ Football is all about holding your nerves, remaining calm and staying focused to achieve the desired target. Our players have the capacity and talent to beat top teams,” he said during an interaction in Jammu in an event organized by Bhisham Batra who has been instrumental in promoting football as a sport in Jammu and Kashmir .
During his playing career, Arun who has played for teams like Mahindra United, East Bengal, and ONGC in addition to the national squad, said that Jammu has courted the game and he is grateful to Bhisham Batra , Director of the Batra group, and the Secretary Jammu Kashmir Sports Council Nuzhat Gul for providing astroturf .

“Nowadays, the Indian players are more conscious and have a professional approach towards the game,” he said.
Speaking in the occasion Mr. Arun Malhotra said that “We planned a practice match and an interactive session with young players of Jammu. Time is ripe to identify and resolve the bottlenecks” he further said that ” the session mainly focused on opening new ways and hopes for all aspiring players”
