​Today two police personnel of Police Academy Udhampur namely Sub Inspector Inderpaul Singh and Follower Prem Chand attained retirement on superannuation. In this regard, a function was organized at the Academy to bid farewell to the retiring officials. Speaking on the occasion Dr. S. D. Singh Jamwal, IPS, ADGP, Director SKPA Udhampur lauded the role of SI Inderpaul Singh who has served the department for more than 41 years. He said that the retiring officer held important posts during his tennure at the Academy and termed him as a highly dedicated official. While holding the post of Lines Officer, he was always found capable enough to deal with administrative affairs especially during the passing out parades and other official functions organized in the Academy, he added.

Dr. Jamwal also appreciated the role of Follower Prem Singh who has served for more than 37 years in the Academy as Gardener (Maali). It was due to his efforts that the area of the Academy campus was maintained and beautified excellently. He further said that Follower Prem Singh was always found suggestive for more beautification of the campus. Dr. Jamwal said that the retirement is a part and parcel of the service and the one who is appointed in a job has to retire one day. He wished both the retirees good health and prosperous life post retirement.

Besides staff of the Academy, the function was attended by the relatives of Sub Inspector Inderpaul Singh and Follower Prem Chand. Sh. Raj Paul Singh, Hon’ble Ex-MOS Utrakhand State Govt. who happens to be a close relative of SI Inderpaul Singh was the prominent guest on the occasion. Among other staff of the Academy, Sh. Mohan Lal, DD (Indoor), Sh. Vinay Kumar, DD (Admn.) Sh. Vijay Kumar Jamwal, DD (Outdoor), Sh. K. K. Sharma, AD (Q), Sh. Suraj Singh, AD (Training/ R&D), Sh Zahid Saif Wani, AD (Indoor), Sh Ramesh Chander, PS to Director, Sh Tahir Hussain, AD (Admn.) were present during the retirement function.
