Jammu, November 13, 2024: A shocking revelation has emerged from a document circulating in the public domain, revealing that the upcoming vacancies in higher secondary schools in Jammu Kashmir does not include a single post for Sanskrit subject.
Veena sharma , PhD scholar of Sanskrit, addressed a press conference, stating that this is not the first instance of neglect towards the Sanskrit department, citing past instances of curriculum and teacher recruitment abandonment. Sharma further highlighted a conspiracy to obliterate Sanskrit at the college level, as it has not been introduced as a course.
Scholars and students demanded that the Education Minister must provide justice to Sanskrit students and scholars by offering posts in the subject as soon as possible. Sharma warned the administration of a massive protest if action is not taken within a reasonable time.
Students and scholars from Jammu University’s Sanskrit Department were present at the press conference, expressing their concerns over the matter.
