In a major decision to lit up the school education and to boost the involvement of the stakeholders in making educational institutions more robust, the school education department has taken a giant step by promoting 16 senior principals as look-after Chief Education Officers and equivalent. This innovation will go a long way in improving the academics and overall environment of learning and teaching in the schools .


These steps have been taken on the directions of Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha who is leading from the front efforts to make educational institutions a vibrant part of society in which children see bright future beckoning them .


Secretary School Education, B K Singh said the in pursuit of these goals for which the roadmap has been drawn by LG Manoj Sinha . 45 Headmasters have been promoted as look-after Zonal Education Officers and equivalent. This is as per the directions of Lt. Governor, JKUT regarding filling of vacancies at all levels of the Department, for providing relief and academic support to the school children of JK-UT


. The Department is likely to issue promotion orders of around 1000 Masters as look-after Headmasters to fill-up the vacancies of HoIs of High Schools. Further, the proposal for filling of all vacancies of Principals, Lecturers in all disciplines is in the pipeline.
