JAMMU, May 11: Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power) Govt. of India, alongwith Rajendra Prasad Goyal, CMD – NHPC Ltd. and Raj Kumar Chaudhary, Director (Technical & Projects) – NHPC Ltd., were on a two-day visit to review all the hydropower projects of Chenab Valley Power Project Private Limited (CVPPPL) being developed in the Chenab basin region of Jammu & Kashmir.
During the visit, Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power) took stock of various construction activities of Ratle Hydroelectric Project (850 MW). Thereafter, the dignitaries visited Kishtwar and took a review meeting wherein Ramesh Mukhiya, MD, CVPPPL and heads of all the projects were present.
In the meeting, Vishal Anand, HoP-Pakal Dul; Ramesh Ojha, HoP-Kiru; S.K. Giri, HoP-Kwar & Rajendra Kumar, HOP- Kirthai-II has appraised the progress of the project through presentation. Suprakash Adhikari, ED (RO Jammu), A.K. Nauriyal, CEO Ratle H.E. Project and Suresh Kumar, HoP-Dulhasti were also present in the said meeting.
Secretary (Power) impressed upon all the stakeholders to put in their best efforts to commission the projects at the earliest. The dignitaries also visited all the projects and acknowledged the efforts being made by the executing agencies.
CVPPPL has been entrusted with 3094 MW of cumulative capacity works comprising three under-construction projects namely Pakal Dul, Kiru & Kwar alongwith one Survey & Investigation project i.e. Kirthai-II in Kishtwar region.
