Terrorist Firdaus Ahmed Natnoo was apprehended from Doda district in a joint operation. Firdaus Ahmed Natnoo resident of Bekhriyan village, Udhiyanpur was involved in revival of terror footprints in District Doda (J&K) which was declared terrorist free post neutralization of hardcore HM terrorist Tahir Ahmed Bhatt @ Uqhab. Firdaus Ahmed was involved in recruitment, procurement of arms and ammunition and fund raising. Based on reliable intelligence inputs, it was learnt that Firdaus Ahmed Natnoo was planning to execute sensational political killings in the Doda district to declare terror revitalization as well to grab national highlights thus, he and his associates were being tracked by security forces from last two months.
Based on reliable intelligence input, a Cordon and Search Operation was launched by joint army and police teams in wee hours of simultaneously at Bekhriyan, Udhiyanpur and Nagri, Doda town. Firdaus Ahmed Natoo, a resident of village Bekhriyan was apprehended while he was trying to escape from security forces. During the subsequent search operation, a huge cache of arms and ammunition to include three Chinese pistols, five pistol magazines, fifteen rounds and one pistol silencer were recovered. Certain other incriminating material comprising of hand written personal diaries, photo album, will cum suicidal note and one earth auger machine probably to dig hideouts were recovered. A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the law at Police Station, Doda and investigations initiated.
