Jammu, March 8: Breaking the stereotype in a man-dominating society where women entrepreneurs are not yet acceptable, a women and her three friends have started a joint venture to become an example for others.

Shahnaza and her friends have started a milk supply venture where other milk products are also available and their reach is increasing every passing day.

The milk processing unit has been started at Nadaso Kud area of Chenani in Udhampur district and the lady comes from a humble background where employment rate is almost zero. Her family had no other source of income and it prompted her to come forward and jump into the market where she needed a click to start the business.

“Firstly, we started with supplying milk in nearby areas followed by covering hotels in tourist resort Patnitop and Kud. Things are going in the right directions and we are easily earning Rs 3000 to 4000 per day,” Shahnaza said.

“No one can succeed while sitting at home and it needs courage to jump into the male dominating market to succeed. By the grace of almighty we are moving in right directions,” she added.

She had received help from government sponsored UMEED scheme which gave her wings to start this business. “I have achieved more in very short span of time which i never expected,” she said.

On this international women’s day, Shahnaza believed that apart from education one needs willingness to chase his or her dreams and succeed. “Rest will follow and it will also make you financially independent, ” she added.
