Leaders of the Shiv Sena Balasaheb Thackeray Jammu and Kashmir unit  urged the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to lift the ban on mining and said that ban is encouraging black market resulting in soaring prices of building materials. 


Party President of J&K Manish Sahni appealed through the media to the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to lift the ban on mining immediately   Sahni said that the unemployment rate in Jammu and Kashmir is rising.  “Tractor and trolley operators who carry building material, have no other source of income”, he said. 


In Jammu about 5000 tractor operators  have been affected by this move of the government.  Sahni said that they should not be forced to come  to the streets. “Ban on mining and transportation  will snatch their  livelihood.” he pointed. 


He questioned “from where does the  J&K administration itself  manage construction  material for government projects, in wake of the ban.” .
He said that black marketing  is being encouraged due to the ban.  The price  of all construction materials including sand, gravel has increased manifold. He said that In such circumstances the dreams of the ” Home to Everyone” of  Prime Minister Narendra Modi can never be fulfilled.  On this occasion Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Working President Ashwani Gupta, Secretary Raj Singh, Joint secretary Balwant Singh were present.
