Jammu, June 29:

Under their campaign “Chalo Kashmir” today the hundreds of Shiv Sainiks , led by state president Manish Sahni , were heading towards Kashmir, who were forcibly stoped and taken into police custody by when their vehicles reached Nagrota on the Jammu and Kashmir National Highway. Large number of Shiv Saniks led by President UT J&K Manish Sahni , gathered at Jammu Press Club premises today on their call “Chalo Kashmir” to welcome the Lord Shiva’s devotees besides boosting the morale of Pilgrims and minorities in Kashmir. The state chief Manish Sahni said, we left for the Kashmir Valley in a very peaceful manner but were forcibly stopped using police force near Ban toll plaza on Jammu-Katra road, just 20 km from Jammu. Shiv Sainiks staged a dharna on the road when they were not allowed to leave. They were detained using police force. They were released after about an hour. At the same time, the Katra unit of Shiv Sena was not allowed to come to Jammu. While the Shiv Sainiks from Punjab, led by Chief Yograj Sharma, were not allowed to move beyond Lakhanpur, the main gate of Jammu.

By denying permission to go to Kashmir, state chief Manish Sahni said that it is clear that the Modi government at the Center, which claims to be synonymous to Hindutva, has failed to protect the Hindus in Kashmir. It has been three years since Article 370 was abrogated, but neither the Modi government at the Center could settle Hindus there, nor has any major investment been visible on ground not to talk of BJP Govt’ promise to provide employment opportunities to youth.
Accusing the government of deliberately stopping the Shiv Sena team from going to Kashmir, he said that the government wants to hide the ground situation in Kashmir from the people across the nation, which is far away from the situation claimed or projected by the government.
Sahni alleged that the current situation in Kashmir continues to be dominated by the targeted killings by terrorists who are now desperate to target the Amarnath pilgrims at the behest of Pakistan and other terror handlers sitting across the borders. He said that the manner in which Kashmiri Pandits working in Kashmir and reserved category government employees of Jammu origin were terrorized and forced to leave the Valley is an open secret now.

Manish Sahni reiterated his warning to the terrorists and their organizations not to disturb conducting of most holy pilgrimage of Hindus. He also asked the Govt to ensure a completely hassle free Yatra focussing primarily on the security aspect. He warned that even if a single Shiva devotee receives a scratch during the Amarnath Yatra, then Shiv Sainiks will take to the streets and shake the government for its deliberate carelessness on the issue.
