Srinagar, 12, August, 2026: 36 years after the murder of Kashmiri Pandit writer Sarwanand Koul Premi and his son Virender Koul, J&K’s SIA raids multiple locations across Kashmir Valley to hunt down the killers.
SIA Kashmir on Wednesday raided nine locations across J&K in connection with the 1990 killing of Kashmiri Pandit writer Sarwanand Koul Premi and his son Virender Koul, whose bodies were found hanging from a tree in Kokernag, Anantnag. The case (FIR No. 45/1990, PS Dooru) is now being probed by SIA. Finally action after nearly four decades.
