Jammu, 17, August: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University marks its 20th Foundation Day on August 19, 2023. As part of the celebrations, a Debate Competition was held on August 17, 2023. The debate topic was “Is the NEP’s integration of technology into education a crucial step towards modernizing learning, or does it create accessibility challenges?” This competition aimed to foster respectful dialogue on the NEP 2020 and enhance skills like public speaking and critical thinking. Dr. Pooja Sharma and Dr. Ankush Raina adjudicated the event. Tanushka Pandotra secured the first prize, Vanshita Manhas the second, and Suhani Sharma the third. Winners will receive certificates and cash prizes of 2500, 1500, and 1000 respectively. The debate was organized by Dr. Isha Malhotra and Dr. Anurag Kumar, with student organizers contributing to its success.
