At about 09.45AM on 10 Nov 18, Pakistan Army resorted to an unprovoked ceasefire violation in Sunderbani Sector on the line of control (LoC).
In the incident, Rifleman Varun Kattal, an army soldier, was critically injured and later succumbed to gunshot wound injuries to fire from across the border at 11.10 AM.
Rifleman Varun Kattal aged 21 years, belonged to Village, Mawa, Tehsil Rajpura District Samba and is survived by his parents, father Sh Anchal Singh and mother Smt Pinki Rani. Rifleman Varun Kattal was a brave and sincere soldier. The nation will always remain indebted to him for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty.
Indian Army has retaliated strongly and effectively on Pakistan Army posts. The martyrdom of the Indian Army Soldier will not go in vain.
